If you're a 90s kid and had style you probably owned an Atomic Purple Gameboy
Now, while I don't have my old Gameboy anymore, I do have a boring plain white Flipper, PCBWAY - to make me a 3D printed, atomic purple, custom shell for it, and some new HW hacking gear I wanted to put to the test. Combine all of these together and here's the awesome result!
Here's a few things I learned during the process:
1️⃣ How all the sensors, boards and all the other internals of the Flipper Zero look like from the inside 🛠️
2️⃣ You shouldn't drink too much coffee before handling tiny screws, PCBs and other small parts since your hands will become like Doctor Strange's but after his accident (and if already did and it's too late, at least be extra gentle with the NFC PCB 😶 Don't worry I managed to salvage mine in the end)
3️⃣ Manual screwing and unscrewing is too old school and takes too much time, so I'm adding a new automatic electric screwdriver to my gear for the next HW hacking project 😊
4️⃣ You can't play any Pokemon game on the Flipper yet, but you can use it for trading and other cool Gameboy features with a custom tool connected via the GPIO!
5️⃣ I miss my Gameboy
